Cuentos and Testimonies Journal OJS Migration Proposal

This group project was created to demonstrate my understanding of rhetorical theory and research methods in technical communication. My group drafted a proposal to transition the journal Cuentos and Testimonies from its current location on the Office of the Provost website to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The migration will enhance the journal’s accessibility and usability for a wider audience, aligning with Texas State University’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. We utilized Microsoft Word to create our strategic plan, including clearly defined tasks, objectives, a detailed schedule, and a transparent division of labor.

Farm-to-School Grant Proposal

This project was created to demonstrate my understanding of rhetorical theory and research methods in technical communication. I applied for the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant Program to establish a farm-to-school program in fourteen underserved PreK-12 schools in Port Arthur, Texas. My proposal recommended increasing access to fresh, local produce through school gardens and providing nutrition education through an applied learning course. I utilized Microsoft Word to create a project narrative encompassing the project description, organizational management and experience, activity and indicator plans, evaluation plans, sustainability plans, and the proposed budget.
