Technical Writing and Reports

This section includes Technical Writing and Reports demonstrating my proficiency in crafting clear and concise explanations, simplifying complex information, and producing well-organized documents.

AP Style Quick Reference Guide

This project was created to demonstrate my understanding of connecting theory to practice in technical communication and my proficiency in visual communication software. I created this Quick Reference Guide to AP Style using Canva. This project builds upon my previous undergraduate work, “20 Common AP Style Errors,” by presenting the information in an accessible and easy-to-navigate format. The guide covers categories such as Dates and Times, Numbers, Capitalization, Myriad, Abbreviations, Punctuation, and Style and Usage.

Cuentos and Testimonies Journal Recommendation Report

This group project was created to demonstrate my understanding of connecting theory to practice in technical communication. My group’s task was to write a 20-page recommendation report on the editorial policies and submission guidelines for the Cuentos and Testimonies Journal. I conducted research on ethical publishing, editorial policies, and submission guidelines in academic journals. Our team used Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat to design the report. I contributed to the primary research in the methods and results section, and I also co-wrote the literature review, content analysis summary, and content analysis.

Cuentos and Testimonies Journal Editorial Policies and Submission Guidelines

This project was created to demonstrate my understanding of connecting theory to practice in technical communication. My group developed the editorial policies and submission guidelines for the journal Cuentos and Testimonies, now hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Our team used Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat to design the document. Specifically, I contributed to the development of the submission process and peer review process sections, conducting detailed research of established scholarly journal best practices and simplifying complex information into actionable guidelines.
